This 3 disk set covers the three main sections that used to form the Shropshire Union; the present Shropshire Union; the Llangollen; and the Montgomery Canals. All these names have changed, some of them several times since the canals were built.

Disk 1 The Shropshire Union. This is the main line of what used to be Telfords Birmingham & Liverpool Junction Canal, and the old Chester Canal. Together they run from Wolverhampton to Ellesmere Port, joining the Llangollen canal near Nantwich. (Run Length 63 mins)
Disk 2 The Llangollen Canal. Probably one of the most popular holiday routes. From the Cheshire plain, it passes through open farmland, and crosses the Welsh border. Then through spectacular scenery and across the Unesco World Heritage site of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, it hugs the side of the Dee valley right into Llangollen in the North Wales hills. (Run Length 68 mins)
Disk 3 The Montgomeryshire Canal. The Monty is probably one of the longest and most drawn out canal restorations in the country. It has become bogged down in complex environmental and political issues. When it’s complete, it’ll be well worth it, as this canal runs through the beautiful mountain scenery of mid Wales. You can cruise a few miles of it now. (Run Length 57 mins)

In PAL DVD-R format, suitable for the UK, European and Australia / New Zealand markets. Will also play in laptops anywhere.
